  • General Community Rules

    Profanity and Derogatory Remarks
Any individual (regardless of membership status) using derogatory remarks regarding, or harassing people because of: race, religion, gender, sexual orientation/preference or other characteristics can be permanently banned from the community and its entities. Light-hearted profanity, in unofficial capacities, is allowed, so long as it isn’t offensive to anyone. Law Enforcement using profanity in game or in the Serious Patrol Area is strictly prohibited, and will result in harsh punishment. The use of derogatory slang or racial slurs is absolutely not tolerated.

    Trolling
Trolling or misleading pranks anywhere on our servers or other assets can result in a permanent ban from the community.

    Abuse of Power
Any member of the community caught abusing their authority, power, or other permissions will face strict punishment including but not limited to demotion, suspension, or termination depending on the severity and relevance of the incident.

    Audio and Video Recording
When joining the community, you agree to be recorded during community patrols or other public events -- this only stretches so far. It is strictly prohibited to record someone in official or unofficial capacities in any part of our servers or other assets without their express permission. Failure to comply with this will result in an immediate referral to Head Administration. Punishments vary by seriousness, and are dealt with on a case-to-case basis.

    Resignation from the Community
If you ever decide to resign from the community, you will be documented as having left on either positive or negative terms. To leave on good terms, you must submit a formal resignation message, or inform your supervisor verbally. If you consider it personal, or simply don’t want to share, you do not have to inform anyone of the specific reason you’re leaving. Resigning in an aggressive or disrespectful manner, spreading propaganda, portraying the community in a misleading connotation, or other violations of community rules after your departure may change your resignation status from good to bad, and may result in a permanent ban from our assets. This also works the other way around. If you left on bad terms, but decide to improve, you may be given a chance to return, if approved by Head Administration. In other words, your resignation status may be changed at any time, for any reason. Lastly, leaving for invalid, illegitimate or frivolous reasons can result in rejection of your application if you decide to return.

    Bullying and Harrasment
We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment. All members have the right to participate in an environment that is free of discrimination, bullying and harassment. All members have the responsibility to respect one another, their opinions, and beliefs without prejudice.

More Details on this policy: https://gtamobilealabamaclan.com/index.php?/zero-tolerance/

    Explicit Content
Distributing pornographic, inappropriate, or mature content anywhere in the community is strictly prohibited and will result in a permanent ban from the community. Under no circumstance will there be any exceptions to this rule, regardless of any factor.

    Chain of Command
Any current or future member of the community is expected to have a basic knowledge of a chain of command ranking system following their interview and acceptance to GMAC. The chain of command concept is expected to be used at all times where applicable. If you do not follow the chain of command during an official incident or case, any information you provide or allegations you make may be considered “null and void.” The Chain of Command can be broken in serious cases.

    Professionalism and Serious Environments
Certain areas on our TeamSpeak server are considered serious environments, such as the Serious Patrol Area, any locked office, and the Investigation Room, for example. Members are required to retain their professionalism while within these areas. When in the Serious Patrol Area, in-game performance must also remain professional and compliant with the Server Rules.

    Ban Appeals
Any member who is banned from the community (either temporarily or permanently) has the right to invoke an investigation and/or request a ban appeal. These investigations must be handled without bias by Head Administration. Requesting an investigation does not guarantee that the outcome will be any different, but it is your right to have a fair chance. If it is determined your ban is partially or fully wrongful, the case will be turned over to HA for the final decision. Bans cannot be lifted without HA approval under any circumstances.

    Distribution of Community Property
Any person, member or non-member who distributes community property to non-community members without HA approval can be permanently banned. However, members helping other members find publicly visible links is allowed, like helping another member find the clan pack link on TeamSpeak.

    Community Donations
Members who donate to the community will be granted the “Donator” tag on TeamSpeak. There are no refunds on donations.

In addition, anything you make for or donate to the community becomes community property, even if you leave the community. Thus, it must be copyrighted “COPYRIGHT © [YEAR], GTA Mobile Alabama Clan.”

    Activity Requirement
Here at GMAC, we have a basic requirement to ensure all members are active, and to keep our roster up to date by removing inactive members. This will ensure all inactive members can be removed so new, active members can take their place.

To be considered active as a member you must:
-Attend at least two serious patrols per week (7 days)
-Keep good communication with your supervisor regarding your schedule and any LOA’s or periods of inactivity

To be considered active as a staff member or administrator you must:
-Attend at least two serious patrols per week (7 days)
-Keep good communication with your supervisor regarding your schedule and any LOA’s or periods of inactivity
-Be active on TeamSpeak handling your department affairs at least four days per week (7 days)

  • Stage Levels

If a member of the community must be issued disciplinary action, there is a set stage level system the disciplining administrator must follow. This system can be overridden for serious punishments or other reasons by Head Administration.

    Stage 1: Verbal Warning
Stage 2: Written & Permanently Documented Warning
Stage 3: One Rank Demotion and Discussion with Head Administration
Stage 4: Suspension from the Community (length determined by the disciplining administrator)
Stage 5: Membership Revocation and Termination from the Community

  • Interviews

The GTA Mobile Alabama Clan believes strongly in equal and fair treatment for everyone. All staff members are responsible for making sure everything is done correctly and as instructed. Before any application is accepted, a basic background check must be conducted by a staff member or administrator in the chosen department of the applicant, or by Head Administration.

All interviews must be recorded and uploaded to the Interview File Room in case they should need to be referenced in the future. Head Administration are responsible for keeping records of all the recorded interviews.

Individuals with the rank of Corporal+ or equivalent are responsible for conducting interviews for their own department. However, if another department supervisor requests coverage for an interview, an interviewer from another department may conduct it.

    • Interviewers who are not conducting interviews properly may be subject to demotion.
    • All interviews conducted must use the approved interview script for GTA Mobile Alabama Clan
    • The script is not to be followed verbatim, so interviewers should not be ‘monotone’ and are expected to add their own personality to the interview, and to change/add some words here and there to avoid sounding scripted.

  • PROMOTIONS

Here at GMAC, promotions are almost always performance-based, and are never promised or guaranteed. Promotions are not based on seniority alone, but also experience, maturity, support shown to the community, willingness to learn, and effectiveness as a leader. If you resign from the community on good terms with a rank, and return at a later point, Head Administration will decide whether to give you your rank back, provided that you want it. This does not mean that every member who resigns and returns later will receive their rank back. Receiving your rank back depends on necessity for someone in the position, availability, and various other factors. As a result, returning members may be required to start from the beginning or settle for a lesser rank than what they had. Suspicious promotions (e.g. a supervisor being friends with the person they’re promoting possibly contributing to them promoting their friend over similarly-performing another member) will have a case opened on them and turned over to HA and/or IA.

    • Promotions also take place on a basis of necessity, meaning that an individual may be qualified for a promotion, but if there is no space or need for them, they may be held back or offered a position in another department.
    • There is a minimum of two weeks a person must wait before advancing to the next rank, with the exception of the ranks of Recruit and Cadet.
    • Exceptions can be made by HA.
    • Individuals should not skip ranks, advancing from Cadet straight to Senior Deputy, for instance. Exceptions can be made by HA.
  • TeamSpeak

Your TeamSpeak account should always look organized and professional. You must have your unit number and name as your nickname at all times, and your badge as your avatar.

    DO NOT:

    • Rename offices on the server
    • Edit/lock other people’s offices
    • Edit server groups (tags) for recreation or illegitimate reasons
    • Edit/remove any server permissions for any reason without HA approval

The violations above are all considered Abuse of Power, and can result in a permanent ban from the community.

  • Department Transfers

Here at GMAC, we want everyone to enjoy their time with the community. If this means letting people transfer to another department, we are more than willing to do so. However, department transfers must go through the proper steps before it can be determined if a transfer should be granted (transfers are not guaranteed, and can be denied if these steps are not followed.)

    Prerequisites to Transfer:
-Requester must be in their original department for a minimum of 2 weeks
-Requester must go to their department head or highest department supervisor on to request a transfer
-Department supervisors must go to the requester’s highest requested department supervisor for them to approve the transfer

All of the above conditions can be lifted or changed on a case-to-case basis by HA with a good reason.
